Arjan Bajwa: ‘Working Across Languages Has Given Me More Milestones In My Career’-EXCLUSIVE
Arjan Bajwa is best remembered as the aspiring model and Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s love interest in Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion, or the bad guy in Akshay Kumar’s Rustom. His other notable works include Son Of Sardar, Guru and the latest one being Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh, where he played Shahid’s elder brother. But not many people know that Arjan actually started his career with Telugu films and did almost a dozen films there before he got his footing in the Hindi films.

Working across multiple languages can be a drawback as you don’t get to solidify your place in one market, but Arjan doesn’t believe in that. “I don’t think it stops you, rather it makes your position stronger in every way. It increases your fan base and gives you more exposure,” he asserts.

Arjan asserts that he is a Hindi film person, and he did Telugu films because he chanced to start with it. “I had a good experience with Tamil films as well because my first film Bigil, with Vijay and Nayanthara, became a huge success. Meanwhile, I still have the trailer of my only Punjabi film and people still rave about it, but unfortunately it never released. However, Punjabi being my mother tongue, I am looking forward to working more in that language,” he shares, adding that when one looks back at their career, they should have milestones in multiple languages. “Working across languages has given me more milestones in my career and more standing. I will be working in Telugu again this year.”

Arjan goes on to point out that working in different languages increased his confidence as well. “When you learn an alien language, that you aren’t used to, and are appreciated for it, that’s the biggest reward. That shows you are evolving and excelling as an actor and the barrier of language isn’t stopping you from portraying your talent,” Arjan concludes.
